Nicholas lives in Durham, sings shape note on Sunday afternoons, and plays old-time fiddle badly enough to enjoy it and well enough to be invited back. He studied at Duke, and he is the one who kept the list in his head for years before admitting it was not working. He writes most of the words you read in Kith.

Kyle builds the thing. He runs a foundation that supports adolescent and young adult cancer patients, which is where a lot of Kith's thinking about organizations and directories comes from: he had four hundred people to keep track of and nine of them written down anywhere.
